We believe our society can always do better by its children and young people. Hagsmunasamtök Æskunnar grew out of a pressing need for a strong, independent voice that speaks for them alone.
We are an independent public-benefit organization that answers to nothing but the truth and the interests we are sworn to protect. We are driven to close the gap between what is promised and what actually reaches the people who need help — whether decisions are made in Alþingi (the Icelandic parliament), in municipal councils, or inside the system itself. We are a place where professionalism, realism, and care come together to push for real change.

Board, team, and advisory council
A capable group of people steers the organization's strategy and day-to-day operations, while an independent professional advisory council (fagráð) makes sure everything we publish meets the strictest quality standards.
