We strengthen the whole sector.
Children's issues are a shared task for all of society. We see other public-benefit organizations in this field as our most important allies, and what we build, we share with them.
We place real emphasis on constructive collaboration with institutions, practitioners, academia, and, not least, other nonprofits. The support builds on what we are creating for our own work: the data, the systems, and the knowledge. These are the ways.
Technical support and data sharing
At the core of our work is a data bank that gathers public data about children into one place, every item traceable to a primary source. We open that bank to other organizations through a direct data connection (API), so they can build their own consultation responses, reports, and campaigns on the same trustworthy data. On top of that we offer technical support, tools, and analysis where needed, free of charge for those working on behalf of children.
Fundraising support
Fundraising is hard for small organizations. The fundraising system we are developing for our own operations, together with our partners, we will give to other organizations free of charge once it is fully tested, along with the practices that work for us. That way organizations need not build the same infrastructure from scratch, and can concentrate on the work itself.
Advice on data gathering
A great deal of data about children is not open, but the Information Act gives a right to call it forth. We will build up the methods for retrieving data on that basis, reviewing public records, and navigating public administration. That knowledge we share with other organizations, so their case stands on firmer ground.
Joint advocacy and campaigns
When other organizations wage a campaign for a particular cause, we can supply the data and the analysis behind it. We take part in joint projects and campaigns where our traceable data can support or deepen the causes of other groups.
Matching volunteers
People who want to help this field are precious. If we do not have a suitable task at a given time, we help interested volunteers find a place with another organization where their energy is put to good use, with their consent. That way people's energy serves the sector, even when we do not have a task for everyone.
Knowledge and connections
We build a network of practitioners and organizations, among other things through our advisory council and joint projects. We open doors, share what we learn, and connect those working toward the same goals.
When knowledge, tools, and energy flow between organizations, children's voices come through more clearly. That is how we want to work.
